With a gentle flick and some light finger wiggling, you telekinetically pull over the fishing rods shattered by the tent. Every day, it gets a bit easier to use your powers.
Lex's eye light up like he saw a magician performing his favorite magic trick in front of him. He really is easily impressed, huh? He barely has the social awareness to stop himself from clapping, given the whole Benedict situation.
You toss him a rod and a handful of MEAT BAIT before leaning over to Benedict. You hold the same rod and MEAT BAIT in front of him. He stops shuddering for a moment to stare at the offered items with evident confusion. "HuH? F-Fish?" Ah, he knows what that is. Good.
You nod your head. "Fish. Let's fish. Okay?"
"Fuck yeah! Last time I fished was when I was still workin' back in V-Corp's district." Lex promptly sits down to the left of Benedict while you sit down to the right. "Those <span class="mu-b">fucking meat employees, though? Never wanna work with them again.</span>" Huh. Weird way to phrase that.
"M-Meat." Benedict grinds his teeth. Okay, time to change the subject before he freaks out more.
"Let's just fish for now, okay? We can cook something if we find any good catches." You pat Benedict on his unconverted arm. This is enough to snap his focus back to the task at hand. You don't really know how to fish all that well, given your district was landlocked, but eh. That's not really the point of this.

The three of you toss your hooks into the water below. The only sound that breaks through the raging storm above the three of you is the distinct sound of Ashley's guitar in the distance. It's comforting, slow, casual. You nod your head along as you hear it. You and your two pals sit at the edge of the ship, waiting for a fish to be brave enough to take the bait.
Benedict's brows tense and furrow at at the rod in his hand. "Is. Is T-this it? This is stupid. W-where's the c-craft here? W-why?"
"It's not about the craft, bro. It's about relaxing. Something to focus on when you have nothing else to focus on." Lex responses with an oddly considerate tone in his voice. "I don't get what your issue is. I don't. Only got bits and pieces from Adam. But you need SOMETHING to do."
"B-But this is just wasting. Time. Time. I. I."
"Wasting time?" You snort. "Sure. Suppose you could say that. But beating yourself up is also wasting time. Which one feels better?"
Benedict's voice is barely audible over the rain but you manage to make out one word. "This."
"There you go then." You nod.
"You're getting there." Lex nods as well.
The three of you return to a comfortable silence. Benedict is the first one to get the attention of a fish and, with inhumane speed and strength, he reels his catch before you have time to say anything. A bright white flounder.
"Hey, not a bad first catch." You clap your hands while keeping your rod upright via telekinesis.
