Disguising yourself... as a man? As if you didn't feel boyish enough already. Your mom probably thinks you're a lesbian at this point, much less if you go out dressed up like that.
But to tell the truth... it would actually work. You're about the height of a random blonde man. Plus you have to consider that a random female; disguised or otherwise, trying to break into an all male group of platonic friends to inquire about an already married man... no no, that's too suspicious. They'd assume you were a little homewrecker at best. Mitel is an enforcer- he's a man's man, athletic, and a little hunky if you're being honest...
You practice binding up your chest in the privacy of your bedroom when you notice your pet, Bandit, pawing at his enclosure. ”Aww, what's wrong buddy? Have I been neglecting you? I've just been so busy lately...”
Stroking his fur, you can see how he's changing. You've had him long enough and your old enough to understand that he will some day die, but it's still surreal to feel it. You had him as a little girl and now you're becoming a woman. It's one step for your life, but equal to his entire life. One day, will you be old too, watching children grow up? Your own child perhaps.
You need some necessary supplies. You stop by a market to buy some of the things you need. Fur dye, of course, plus you have another idea to deal with the problem of your feminine muzzle. And who do you run into but one of your dueling partners- the indigo.
“Oh look, it's Dulioan! Funny seeing you here.”
”...I have a first name, you know. It's Kima.”
“Heh, I guess I forgot we have those... you know, the dueling instructor?”
”Yeah. So what's yours?”
“Alet. Alet Takar.”
”So you ARE a Takar. That's so strange- I don't see any green in your muzzle.”
“Ah- yeah. I'm sure the Indigo takes precedence. I wasn't born on Jaxt actually, transferred in from another colony- I'm still getting used to the culture around here.”
”Well, Alet, it was nice to speak to you, but I need to get going.”
He doesn't say anything, just standing there and forcing a smile.
