>>6116615>>6116608You move some trash around (6) and you move it again (6), but it just spreads the mess around.
It isn't really a baricade, more a mound and it trips you a fair bit just trying to climb over it yourself. The carboard is falling apart, and might be good for wiping yourself with, or kindling a bonfire, but won't stand up.
You find you're getting weary again, and decide to slow down (0), and despite wqntint to hurry, you manage to calm your nerves.
You're getting nervous because it's a bit dark, and you might have mentioned to the merchant that you're nearsighted. Up close you are fine, you can make out a book or your hand, and you're not uncoordinated, but the warehouse is just a shadow. It could be 100 yards or 300 yards deep and you wouldn't know the difference. You have trouble focusing on moving objects at a distance too, your eyes strain and you find that lights blur your vision and moving objects tend to have streaks about them. You used to find yourself looking down a great deal when you walked instead of straight ahead, but even back in grade school, no one really snuck up on you, you could hear them coming, and dodge the malicious punch or low ankle trip, but you always disappointed at baseball, you did alright with the bat when the other kids got to mocking you though. If the catcher's mask hadn't stopped your first blow and the coach hadn't snatched the slugger from you on the backswing you'd have found out, sooner and more vividly, how effective you were with a club.
[You get a +2 to melee kill range, and can, if Enraged, temporarily increase your per turn melee kill limit by an additional +2, in exchange for a commensurate drop in safety, -2 per turn to calamity, you might even dispatch an enemy barehanded, if the surroundings permitted it. However, you suffer a permanent -3 to firearm accuracy range, unless shooting point blank]
You look around for a weapon, but apart from dried plastic picture frames lenses and frames, you find nothing suitable for a weapon.
[If my 4th and 3rd add to 10 less, you find a rat's nest, if more than 10, you find evidence of the cause of the warehouse's ruined state. If my 2nd and 1st add to 10 or less you find the security guard's set of keys, if more than 10 you find a security guard's nightstick]
You have 4 actions
You can search shelves for boxes, search boxes, sort goods, move goods, move trash, pace yourself [exertion buff, 3 turn], breath [+1, single turn] , focus [+1 find range, single turn], or your own idea.
[This is a safe job that will become more difficult and dangerous the longer you continuously do it. You have a low chance of success and low danger chance, and these will increase over time.]
[Your 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st to succeed] 1-3p, 4-0f.
[There currently is no chance of calamity]
