After some deliberation, you came to the conclusion that there really wasn’t any reason for you to refuse this offer. The operation wouldn’t take place right away, so you’d have some time for yourself, and you could also try and rope your teammates into helping you out. If Silvermane was willing to fork over the cash, then this could technically be considered The Desperados’ first official job.

The meeting went on like that for about another hour or two before you told him that you needed to head back out. He gave you the suit, as well as an instruction manual that Max had written for it. You were extremely grateful, but you wanted to have this thing checked for tracking and recording devices before you put it on.

You put the issue out of your mind for now, and dropped it off at your warehouse. You’d have Prowler check it when he came over. But until then, you and Cindy were gonna head over to meet with Vic and Pete.

When you got there, the first thing you smelled was the garlic. Vic was cooking with it, and she was having Peter help her in the kitchen.
<span class="mu-g">“Oh hey, Ben!”</span> she said over the sound of bubbling soup. <span class="mu-g">“Could you open up a window for me? There’s not a lot of ventilation in here.”</span>
You did so, and at Vic’s behest, Cindy went over to taste test the soup that she was making. Seemingly pleased with her work, Vic gave Pete instructions on what to do and left him to his own devices. Discreetly, she told Cindy to watch him and make sure that he didn’t burn or cut himself, before removing her apron and approaching you.
<span class="mu-g">“So?”</span> she began, looking around nervously. <span class="mu-g">“How’d everything go?”</span>
