>>5306617I spent my first day in Plantera by first finding a tavern to stay the night to avoid rising suspicion and then heading out to the archives.
The security there was quite surprisingly high but we were just visitors even if we had to pay an entrance fee. The inside of the archive looked like an unorganized mess. Books were placed around randomly and haphazardly, some were even on the floor. The worst part is this seems to be intentional by whoever created this place.
After spending some time carefully collecting some of the more important looking books and finding the reading area, which was covered in empty wooden mugs randomly strewn about. While spoken common has changed little, the opposite can be said for written languages. The books were all written either in modern common which i could read due to the information i consumed from the knight or in the Narkitan Language which i've been decoding using some magic. It was going rather slowly because every single Narkitan book was written in cursive, per individual writer cursive…
To say I could feel mental pain again would be an understatement. Even with magical assistance this work tormented me.
