You scream at him to get out of the way just as his shield collides with Ivan’s spear. A screeching sound erupts as the spear’s magic activates, but somehow, Sebastian manages to divert the flames with his shield towards the side and away from himself. Ivan looks on incredulously, before attacking again with his spear. However, the same outcome occurs. Sebastian expertly diverts the flames away from himself with his shield, taking virtually no damage. With the Paladin directly in front of him, he gives him an upward chop with his axe.

Turning around, you find that the Blackwings are managing to successfully clean up their foes. However, that isn’t what grabs your attention. In the sky, five winged Demonic Beasts have made their appearance over the tree line and are heading towards the direction of the battlefield. If you squint hard enough, you can make out a figure in the distance that seems to be almost directing the creatures. That must be Odesse.
“General, you appear to be having great difficulty against these mercenaries. Allow me to assist you.” The Sage’s voice reverberates throughout the forest.
As the Demonic Beasts make their appearance and begin flying towards Arcadia, the sky suddenly darkens, and you feel a surge of energy coming from inside the village. You’ve used the spell enough yourself to recognize what’s going on. Someone is casting Bolting! Sure enough, a huge arc of lightning shoots forth from the sky and attacks the Demonic Beast in the middle. The monster lets loose an ear-piercing shriek, before falling out of the sky, dead in one strike.
