My logic was that the majority want to brazenly confront Mid Boss one way or another and to do that they need to get through his camp which is going to be an Edge check. But they clearly wanted to be Heroic so I folded that narrative modifier in there with a Hero check.
I know the intent was an "honourable" duel, but when it's a tie I do what I want. Sometimes I'll mess with you, sometimes I'll give you a chance for better outcomes. (ironically you guys seem to get better outcomes from ties by passing all the checks I throw at you to mess with you <.<)
