Karn is a killer, right? But he knows what he's fighting for, and why. Even if it's a selfish reason it's a real one. Does Trunks know what he's fighting for? Truly? All the secrets and forbidden things behind the curtain? Of course not. He's a child being told his toys are being taken away so he's throwing a tantrum. Right now he THINKS he's fighting for his "family" but he's still just an ignorant pawn. My issue is with that. Karn's a piece on the board as well, yes, but Karn knows it and accepts it because the end goal of being that pawn gets him what he wants. Even with all the awful things that are likely going to happen and that he'll have to do. Trunks still doesn't get what he's fighting for. He's just found a reason to struggle is all. Rebelling against the fate that he has carved out for himself.
