So instead, the only idea you have left is a <span class="mu-s">direct data transmitter</span>. A powerful, experimental device used to transmit data from room-sized computer rooms across vast distances. It's being researched as an alternative to telegram & electricity towers that stretch across the dry parts of your planet, and there's one at your local school. But you're too junior of a student there to really justify renting it for an experiment! But it's summer vacation, so it's probably empty...
