The Orkish Horde that was before them, once a menacing horde that would call death to nations, was now turned into a torrent of red fire dancing within the alien winds.
The Assault Astartes were the ones who threw the most real flame into the mix. All of them emptying their Flamer canisters as the Orks came towards them with a beastial roar. None of the greenskin could survive as they were turned into simple fuel for the dangerous food for the Sons of TalOS’s appetites.
As they started the flames, the Knight of Dutonis allowed his Thermal Cannon to release a barrage into the horde without a moment’s care. The blasts came rocketing through and turning whatever touched the beam into a red hot ash pile. Whatever energy was not robbed from the flesh of the Xenos with melta incineration, the flames of the Astartes ate it up with eagerness.
The Armigers, following the example of their Knight, fired their own weapons into the horde without care for what could have been on the other side. Four Thermal Spears sliced into the flesh of these creatures and just like the Thermal Cannon created an immense amount of kindling for the raging inferno.
These were simply the direct attacks though. As their strikes created a blazing fire the Skitarii from two sides began firing Galvanic and Radium fire into the horde. The Radium fire, a radioactive source of power, began twisting and turning into a maelstrom that caused the entire place to glow a dangerous shade of green.
UZ1 did not worry about it though as she watched the Rad Storm take form. It was a simple occurrence that was expected when the Skitarii employed their radium rounds into the horde. The Orks, which had previously held the position with the promise of a good fight, began to flee as many of their own kin melted into a burning sludge of death.
The last of the creatures were killed off by the Heavy Weapons Marines who enjoyed shooting the Orks in a barrel.
There was no moment to spare so the Knight and his Armigers began walking over the Corpses and turning whatever places the fire was lit into nothingness. This only made things near the center safe as the fire quickly reached the nearest Orkoid structure and set it alight.
While most of the structures were made of metal whatever there must have been an oil somewhere within them. The red hot rad flames only had to brush the foundation before one of the buildings was turned into a raging inferno of death and destruction.
UZ1 paid this some mind but made sure to lead her troops into the clearing.
