>>5411618Fate uses coins that both DM and player can use to get better rolls and change what happens. Coriolis also has some system where players can get better results in exchange for points for the DM that can be used to make encounters more difficult.
TBZ, on the other hand, has this crazy system where you use chits to make rolls based on fates (basically the things your character cares about) to convert them into a different currency to use to improve rolls and improve your character (there are no levels, you can continuously improve the stats of your character), which then turns into YET ANOTHER currency that lets you get better fates, but if you accumulate too many of those, your character becomes evil and you have to hand in your character sheet.
As obtuse as it is, I think it's a really unique approach because it rewards good RP with something more than just "you get to DM for a second" or "free reroll", and in this case RP doesn't just mean acting, but also making an interesting character.
I actually haven't had the chance to play it yet, but all in all, the system seems to be more geared towards building scenes like a stage play.
