You decide to send in Spudmin- the largest and strongest pikmin- to take advantage of the situation and attack while the monster is stunned. Because of the electric shock, the snow devil can't coordinate itself to kill Spudmin as he approaches, giving him a chance to climb atop the creature and stab it with his new weapon- the artifact taken from the mysterious mounds! Almost as though made for his hands, Spudmin's sword stabs the beast multiple times in the chest, drawing its blood as its flailing arms fling away and destroy a small group of pikmin that were approaching to swarm the beast.
It's still fighting back; but notably weaker now. Without swarming the monster, you haven't guaranteed its death by using the power of numbers. Now to finish it off.
