Their names are Bruce Auburn, Alfred Brown, and…” Odetta sighs. “Margaret Duchemin…” Odetta sighs again. “and Catastrovania Something…” Odetta puts her hands back on her head. “And the last one doesn’t matter because I barely know him and he went to live in the mountains. Oh, there’s one more guy, he’s related to that Carmella girl from the prisoner bunch. His name is Camilo.”
“…” Kata’s smug smile disappears upon the mention of a certain name.
“Woah, there’s a lot to unpack here.” You feel like you can make connections with a bunch of them! One of them is Jesse’s friend for example! Well, except with that Catastro-something. There’s only one Kata and she’s right here!
“My pal Al was at the wedding we busted, small world, eh? Too bad we didn’t cross paths, we HAD to do a lot of NONSENSE, didn’t we?!” Odetta has really fond memories of all of them! It’s heartwarming to see! It’s not like you’re ignoring the fact she’s upset at you for being an idiot during all that.
“So that’s the friend you had to talk with!” Jaylene smiles.
“Guy’s annoying when he’s concerned. Knowing that you all have my back should help him stay put, right?” Odetta is trying to hide the fact that she wanted her friend to know that her sister is fine…
“Heidi must’ve had a blast meeting you all.” Kata giggles.
“Loved squatting for her, almost broke my ankle…” Odetta shakes her head. What the hell happened in there? You’d ask, but…
“Tell me, Odetta. What food do you want me to prepare as compensation for sharing your stories with us?” You wiggle your eyebrows.
“Up to Jaylene. It’ll be a welcoming gift because I’m so generous.” Odetta can be nice sometimes…
“Sure, but I can cook something else for you! May I suggest the Lonely Lady Heartbreaker for dessert?” Your eyebrows continue dancing.
“What a name…” Misty isn’t sure that’s an actual recipe, but she’s intrigued.
“It’s quite the taste, I imagine.” Kata giggles.
“I’m good…” Odetta is fine as is. What a difficult girl to please...
“Oh! Oh! I’d love to eat that one!” Jaylene will take you up on that offer. “And, um, pssst! Johnny! Come closer…” She waves you to her.
“Dear, you’re not going unnoticed if you do that in front of everyone…” Kata is starting to believe Jaylene is not the brightest.
