And that'll be it for now! You guys choosing to maximize on prep-time has allowed me to set up some interesting interactions between characters. I hope you guys are enjoying these downtime chapters! I've come to realize that this quest is starting to resemble a Marvel Universe social simulator at times, which isn't a bad thing.
I'm sure you've all noticed that I don't tend to do social rolls in most cases. It's mostly because I don't think the outcomes of such rolls are always appropriate. Some people probably won't like that, but I think the idea of choosing "correct" dialogue options or rewarding good write-ins is the better play in a narrative game. Your delivery should be more important than a random dice roll. And having a bad dice roll trivialize all that doesn't feel right to me.
It's important to be able to make a compelling argument. So is having the necessary charisma to deliver that argument. But the most important factor in these conversations is making sure that your audience is receptive to your words. Not everyone will be willing to listen to you, even if you're making a solid argument. Some things you just can't talk your way out of.
Anyway, enough of my yapping! Let me know what you guys thought of this thread. Is there anything you think I can improve on? Are there any characters you'd like to meet or see more of? What're you looking forward to?
Be sure to let me know while this thread is still up. I'll be making a new one on Saturday afternoon! I hope to see you there!
Once again, thanks for playing, and I'll see you next time! I'll archive this thread sometime tomorrow.
