>>5596686Despite her readiness to volunteer herself, Mina looks scared, and rightfully so. She’s seen firsthand the danger that her magic could produce when utilized incorrectly. You begin to question the effectiveness of this plan when Yara lends a reassuring hand on the dancer’s back.
“Have faith in yourself, girl. The spirits tell me that this will be your most stunning performance yet.” The dark mage says with a smile. Yara’s words seem to reassure her, and Mina seems to regain some semblance of confidence. You give the girl a curt nod to go ahead and attempt to soothe over Scratch, while you and the others look towards taking out the Mogalls before they become a problem.
Mina’s movements, which you recall having once been awkward and janky, now seem to flow together more smoothly. She dances as if to a rhythm only she can hear, making sure to utilize the shawl that she received from Dorothea in her moves. Though nothing appears to happen at first, you notice that Scratch is no longer growling threats and curses at those around her. Her hands slowly fall off her head, and she begins to straighten her back, looking around her surroundings with evident confusion.
“Eh? Did I fall asleep again or something?” She says, completely oblivious to the effects of Hypatia’s berserk magic.
“Impossible!” Hypatia seethes, taking a step back on the platform she’d been standing on. The Mogalls move forward ready to attack, but you and Uriel are already there to meet them with your Blessed weapons. You once more thrust your spear forward into the disgusting creature’s large eye before it can attack the group with its unholy magic, while the veteran Knight of Seiros does the same. The two Mogalls once more go down with a single blow.
>20 XP Gained! (80/100)While it may not seem it thanks to the effectiveness of your weapon, the Mogalls themselves are extremely resilient to mundane weaponry and magic. With Lysithea silenced, Ashe, Ava and Caleb are only able to take out one of the creatures before the other is able to use its magic to once more suck some life energy from the group.
>-5 HP (Blair: 35/56)With the defeat of the second set of Mogalls, there is now nothing left standing between you and Hypatia. The priestess, who has been overlooking the fight from her platform, is now looking rather pale as the combination of Demonic Beasts and her magic has failed to stop your advance.
