“The Magi have a point.” TalOS admitted as he nodded to himself, “However its not the risk that I have issue with but the reward. Without enough territory to our name won’t be able to weather any kind of retaliation against the Xenos.”
To those words it was obvious the two Princes seemed a little miffed at the facts given to them. However an offhand comment by Alexander is what caught TalOS’s attention, “And what if they realize the pass is accessible themselves? We can’t keep Lucius hidden forever.”
A few thoughts clicked in TalOS’s mind the moment those words were said. It was also caught by everyone else in the room with an immense tinge of realization. The three Tech Priests began to talk to each other in rapid succession as the Princep nodded to the facts laid before them.
“The Xenos will come to fight us, that is for certain.” TalOS admitted as he looked throughout the room, “However they are extremely close to Lucius. They will find it if they try.”
“The memories you published earlier.” The Arch Princep said as he leaned forward, “What is the reason for them failing to approach us?”
TalOS gave a solemn nod as the question, “It seems the Plastoids were at one point part of their Empire, however the influence of the Dark Gods gripped them and caused the Xenos to betray the greater Empire. The Mitu are afraid that if they enter that region they will be attacked by the Plastoids in the same manner of ambush we were.”
“That is reasonable.” Pointed out Dux Dominus H3VST as his mechanical limbs began to click in rapid succession, “They had likely seen the same threat in Human Psykers and were clearing them out to prevent another cult from forming. As for why they could not have found it yet, it is likely that their vision of the planet to be at least ten to fifteen years out of date.”
“And depending on their technology they will not know about the planet’s annihilation until many years after.” L4M released a data log and a series of calculations.
“Then upon their realization Lucius will be in danger.” TalOS announced that the rest of the War Council agreed with the assessment of their situation.
