You're going home. If this werewolf went out of its way to try and conscript you into its weird new age army, who's to say that its pack won't try and do the same thing? You struggled to hold your own against one of them, so you're pretty sure that a group of them would kick your ass. No, you're better off making your way back to town and taking a break from all of this madness.
"Crazy ass wolf," you mutter as you go back to washing off all of the blood, just like you were before it interrupted it. Sees-Forest-For-Trees bares its teeth at you once more, but it doesn't approach you. Just like you, it's worn out and isn't in the mood for another fight. Instead, it just lingers nearby and watches you from the shadows. When you finally finish cleaning yourself, you manage to find your things in the mud. Your phone's screen is cracked but at least it still seems to work. According to it, the time is 21:38. Shit. You must've been fighting for far longer than you thought.
An audible growl comes from the wolf as you begin to walk away, but you just flip it the bird.
"Fuck off. I ain't joining your cult."
You half-expect the asshole to follow you, but it doesn't. It just lets you walk away. After a few minutes of trudging through the wilderness, you hear a mournful howl that pierces the night with incredible clarity. It's enough to make you pause and glance over your shoulder, but there's still no sign of Sees-Forest-For-Trees. After a little hesitation, you pick up the pace a little. If it's calling for back-up, you don't want to be around when it arrives.
Nevertheless, you can't help but think about what it said. Apparently, you are Garou - part man, part wolf, part spirit. You don't feel like a monstrous hybrid though, you feel human. You are human. You look like one, you think like one, you're walking like one. You're nothing like that brainwashed beast back there, you're a man, civilised and cunning, the apex species. Sees-Forest-For-Trees can call you an ape all it wants, but you're so much more than that. There's power in your heritage, in your humanity.
