And was intercepted by her own arm, now augmented by the very same runic tattoos that had engraved themselves into her flesh earlier when Sathriel threatened to encase Susan in a tomb of bone, the very same arm which was now worn by the Obsidian Arbiter, who quickly shifted her body and turned the intercept into an arm-lock. It was at that very moment Susan realized the terrible danger she had foolishly run headlong into.
"Cast in the name of the Great Equalizer."
Time itself seemed to slow in response to the Arbiter's gesture as Sathriel gleefully raised her other "human" arm out from the cloak and raised it high in the air. All at once the vantablack pillars of bone that dotted the battlefield became aglow with golden scripts, the symbols lifting themselves off the structures and into the air to stream into Sathriel's open palm. Exponentially, the air shifted and grew thick with the tinge of ozone and power as the runes compressed and condensed themselves into a golden singularity of energy within Sathriel's open hand. Then that hand clenched into a fist, trapping the golden power between her fingers.
"Ye. Guilty."
Then that fist met Susan's face.
