You ask him what he's doing for work.
"Well, uh, I've got a little shop open. Hobby shop sort of deal. We sell shit for nerds, basically, which I guess is pretty fitting. And we get stuff shipped in that other shops don't really sell... It does well enough. I'm also still playing. Got a new band and everything. It's not that big of a deal, though. How has your life been going, Fido?"
