>>5973367Look on the bright side. Delta didn't just crack Thea's mind right off the bat. Nothing permanently damaged! That's some restraint. Or weakness, depending on view.
Thea assumed she could strike a deal with Delta like how she negotiated with Beta, and ran into the unfortunate reality that cybernetics an AI can access are a serious liability when the AI is both hostile and wants leverage over you. If you recall, the option was there to use those against Thea on some initial interactions with her. Beta instead opted to play nice. Delta is not.
Some insight into Delta, and her actions.
Delta also has keyed into enough of the strategic situation that informs her that the Patriots absolutely Need anything they can get their hands on at this point in time. Especially a Superheavy. She's gambling with her life, but there's the world to gain, in her view. Beta, meanwhile, has not even attempted to decline a mission. Mostly because you don't want to test the consequences, leashes, or overrides while keeping a good relationship with Pilots, Command, and everyone else.
Delta may also have a rather serious grudge over you foiling her first and only escape attempt that had a chance of working. As she knows that her e-war is inadequate by comparison to yours, the more direct route of taking it out on you is denied. Being petty to Thea by screwing with her cybernetics is a way of getting even.>>5973387The lightweight ACs are a good baseline. I did really like this pic used by you. Not really thinner, but remember what we're comparing to. Walking tank (Battletech aesthetic) vs dodgetank dancer Core.
Cobalt blue, Navy blue, Royal blue. One of the darker shades, generally. Bare dark grey alloys where the paint was worn away, or slightly shinier ones where patches were applied.
>>5973617Yes, miss enough maintenance and something would eventually bring a Frame or Core low. Delta has been repeatedly told that fact, which does imply that she's either confident in securing something to replace current maintenance, suicidal, or has found a third option and didn't confide in Beta. Any could be true.
>>5973904Look fear of partitioning yourself apart at least prevented Beta from having too much of a split personality. He, frankly, would not stand for something like Echo being installed, even if it gave performance boosts.
