Bioshock came out in 2007, Bioshock Infinite in 2013. Gamergate according to wikipedia began around 2014. Unrelated but the concurrent amendment of the Smith-Mundt Act occurred at the very end of 2012, passing US Congress Dec 28 ? (to me, this was the signal of orientation towards propaganda, even if the Act itself did not explicitly condone this, there tends to be mission creep in these things hehe).
