It takes some heroic sacrifice to lift that finger and to press that bell, but she does. But after a while all that comes is a very elderly granny, smiling gently as she fights mere gravity with a stick, taking her time. She doesn’t even ask the completely fucked-up vTuber anything, and instead just opens the door.
Grandma: Hi heaven, come on in.
Just like that.
ᕙ Jimena: Eh uh- I’m looking for Li- Hi! How you doin? I’m Jimena. I’m looking for your niece, Alondra. Is she home?
The grandma blinks for a while, as Jimena wonders if that's how Lifa sees herself. To reach the second decade as a Magical Girl is an understated miracle, even if freaky examples such as Weird Eyes make it seem commonplace.
Grandma: Sorry, hun. I think she left. Come in and wait for her, there’s still cake.
ᕙ Jimena: Gotcha, thank you, sorry, be careful on your way back.
Not daring to involve civilians, Jimena runs away like a Naruto fan, cursing over and over under her breath. The peace magic is wearing off. Mentally, it feels as if she was in an oven and someone was turning up the heat. It’s only then that she recalls seeing Lifa north of the Violet Tower when it all started. Well, fucking shit ass dick. Sometimes, a little memory can spare us so much, /so much/ work. After a while, when she’s running on the Abasto Shopping Center’s roof for the fuck of it, Jimena remembers her wish and tries to imagine another that could have been dumber.
Halfway through the roof, it turns out her trip wasn’t all in vain.
A gigantic-shuriken-like thing made of bones lands in front of her like the rotor blades of a helicopter that just got blown with a rocket launcher- then, as she’s pressing those brakes, what looks like the skeleton of a snake with like twenty swords acting like wings bombards her with said spinning blades as it flies by- missing every single hit. Already ready to haul ass to a much happier place, Jimena dares to look up
and looks at Alondra Rodriguez with her head on the claws of an enormous… eagle-like thing. It has kites for wings and wears glasses. On each side of the Magical Girl are a Cricket and a Priestess.
Voice from the Cricket: Alondra, report on the result.
Lifa: I-think-I-missed-everything.
Her hair is now entirely green, but Lifa’s magical form is just like Jimena saw it last time: a simple white duster with floral patterns, kinda like those scientists wear when their toddlers decided to fuck them up with their crayons. There are no bones or gauntlets to be seen on her, unlike in Lucinda’s memories.
There is one big difference from her own memories, though: Jimena remembers that pink Soul Gem being less dark.
