“It shall be given to open research with the understanding that whatever is found from it is kept under the highest level of scrutiny.” Declared TalOS as he focused down upon the object, “The Council will be the group to decide if any technology that is gleamed from this object is to see the light of day. Is that a sound compromise?”
The room studied one another before dozens of noospheric communications were sent through the room. As it was though such secure channels the Primarch could not listen into them he did not know truly what was being said. He suspected he knew exactly what was being said though.
“A Machine Spirit has hereby been tasked with recording your desires.” Declared TalOS as one of his Cogitators became active, “Submit your thoughts into the program and we shall see what holds the majority vote.”
There was a moment of silence among the Priests as recordings were made. Each of them submitting to TalOS their thoughts on the matter so that they may be exercised. As TalOS looked upon them he gave a firm nod as he too submitted a vote into the system.
“The plan shall hereby be instituted. May the Machine God smile upon our discovery here today.”
With those words TalOS softly picked up the monolith and placed it at his side. In that moment he could feel the taming of the warp just like he long wanted. It was a subtle force that equaled what he had been able to engineer. But that engineering was made with a constant stream of electricity into the object. In the moment he touched it TalOS realized that some other form of the Motive Force was acting upon it.
That would become the question though. What form of the Motive Force was to be exercised upon this piece of stone? What granted it such properties.
He would need to find out.
“Captain Lorch, you shall take your leave.” Declared TalOS as he once again placed his attention upon his fellow Priests as well as other warriors upon the table, “We stand upon the precipice of war, my fellows.”
