>>5287974Do consider: Mugen is the one who acts as Nox's... "manager" of sorts, not anyone associated with Towa.
Anyway, sorry about the delay again, we're back!
>>5287200You and Pantea keep up some Image Training, specifically about this Ki binding technique, and how to replicate it. Telekinesis might be a good substitute, it’s hard to really sense and can hold someone in place. Hrmn… maybe you could supplement it some way? Boost it with Magic? Or have a SUDDEN boost with Magic, so it’ll have an added effect. Well, that’s a thing that’ll need practice either way. But it’s a thing you can work on.
Back with the fight, Sala’s switched out to try and recover, while Hado is facing off against Zarid. While Sala was able to kinda keep up with Sachie, or at the very least appear like she’s not completely outclassed, Hado’s waaaaay on the defensive against Zarid. What Magical skills he can bring up aren’t really able to handle Zarid’s speed and agility, and with Zarid launching Ki blasts that travel along the ground, Hado’s forced closer and closer to the edge of the ring.
But then Hado is able to hit Zarid with an MP Buster right as the boy goes in for a dropkick, following it up with a Wind-boosted leap into the air. Zarid misses, and ends up with a fist in his face for his trouble as Sala gets back in, having waited for this chance. That doesn’t hurt him too much, but combined with the depletion of his energy he does end up forced back a bit. Now with some distance between him and his opponents, Hado once again boosts Sala’s power, but this time she opts for a newer strategy, gathering up… shadowy energy around her as energy surges up. And… it’s almost like the light in the ring is dimmed for a moment, then the “darkness” condenses around Zarid.
“ZARID!” Sachie calls out, rushing in and pushing him out of the way before the attack completely connects.
Sala slaps her hands together and the shadowy energy completely condenses around Sachie, a loud and ominous sound echoing through the area. Wait… you think you’ve heard a bit about this technique before. Yeah, in dad’s tome of Magic. “Dark Bomb.” you mumble under your breath. “It’s a more advanced version of the Gravity Blow, forcing energy back in on itself as the one trapped inside tries to escape, finally releasing it all in one explosion.”
“That’s a bit… harsh. Think your friend can handle this?” Peppa asks quietly.
>A. She can. And I’ll cheer her on! COME ON, SACHIE! BREAK THROUGH THIS!>B. Pantea, that’s definitely something Nox will try to use against us. Let’s focus on ways to overcome it real quick>C. …Check with dad real quick, has he or Maple ever come across more of those tomes in their travels?>D. Something else?
