You force a grin. “Well, after a display like that, I’m almost tempted to jump in myself! Everyone, don your armor, Pantea will give you the weapons you want.”
“You’re a terrible lair, Peppa.” Cocoa comments to you softly, quieting her mic. “Something wrong?”
“Just excited is all!” you say aloud, but let her know telepathically, ‘Pantea saw some issues with the power output on those things. It’s HOPEFULLY nothing but we’re taking precautions.’
“I… see…” She’s definitely concerned now but she’s at least trusting you on this.
You relax and exhale. It’ll be fine. …But just to be safe, goggles down. The teams are all suited and geared up, starting to filter into the starting positions. Good thing this place is big enough to accommodate 30 participants. “Everyone ready? LET’S GO!”
https://youtu.be/gJv665_o_L4Things start off with a bang, several of those with long range laser guns trying to pick off any that haven’t found cover in the cratered areas. You see Phanty tease out a few misses with her intangibility, drawing attention from Monty and Erasa, while Gohan tries to move around stealthily into the main base. He then makes a mad dash, deflecting the lasers with his sword as he gets inside successfully! But Phanty she attempts to follow after him, Lime and Hado, who’d been playing defense for their partners, manage to ambush her right before she gets inside. Lime scores a direct hit with a shotgun, with Hado finishing things with his pistols. Phanty’s down!
But that also leaves the teams open for each other, and they start taking pot shots at one another. Lime gets hit and goes to cover, with Monty trying to return fire. He gets Hado in return, and the two pairs bunker down, trying to keep out of each other’s range. That’s when the path is clear for those still stuck out in the craters, so Zarid bolts in to one side and gets Lime with a shotgun blast of his own, rolling away before Monty can return fire, while Sala surprises Erasa and Hado by getting in from the other. Hado urges Erasa inside as he tries to hold her off, but he can’t do much when Videl and Sharpner run up with double dual-wielded pistols.
