It was like a tidal wave the moment the Knights and the Guardians met on the battlefield. The Xenos, who had finally gotten comfortably in their range, were blindsided by the sudden charge with many being sent flying from the push.
With his Chainsword prepared Fredric brought the weapon forward into the Xenos who foolishly stood before him. The rending of crystal, wood, and metal was sent flying across the field as the Xenos were quickly turned into nothing but an emptied chassis after xenos blood was sent flying.
The same impact happened across the battlefield. Mageras quickly reaching their claws upon the faces of the xenos constructs and shatter them across the field with a sickening crunch. Knight Errants slammed their fists into their target and made such a powerful indent that the crystal leaked blood, before quickly gripping the hull and chucking it in the rear of another Knight Quarry.
This did not mean the Xenos were not fighting for they were definitely. Many of the Xenos carrying staves began to slam the weapons into their opposing Knights and ripping through pistons, wires, and oil before releasing miniature torrents of magic.
Fredric removed the Chainsword that he had embedded into the Guardian and studied the battlefield for a moment in search of a quarry. At the corner of his eye he noticed them.
Several groups of Acillians, Skitarii, and Tech Priests began to leak from one of the nearby buildings. Within seconds of coming out onto the battlefield Fredric watched the Acillians take inhumans speeds as they ran at the backline of the Guardians.
Fredric raised his chainsword while blaring his horn with a fury, +MEN! HEAR ME NOW FOR WE ARE VICTORS! GIVE THEM NO QUARTER, GIVE THEM NO RESPITE, FOR THE KNIGHTS OF HOUSE BORGIUS AND THE MECHANICUM STAND VICTORIOUS!+
With that declaration Fredric allowed himself to run forward into another target. This one looked right at him as he ran up and tried to cast its magic, but within a second the full weight of Dominus Borgius slammed into him and crumbled whatever chances he had at casting such foul magic.
Minutes after this event, the crystal at the center of the city was shattered and whatever covens animating it were killed. The City, which stood defiant, was at the mercy of the attackers.
