>>5202167>Head out to where it was first spotted, see if you can find any more clues. You decide to head back out to the forest to have another look around to see if you can figure out where the ghost tank came from. You climb into one of the Carro Veloces and get moving into the forest. It’s dark, but Anzio saw fit to attach some headlights to them, so you’re able to make your way slowly through the woods towards the rough location the ghost tank was spotted.
You soon reach where Rabbit team first spotted them and climb out. You have a map with all the sightings on it, and slowly begin walking your way between them. As you do, you slowly collect bits and pieces of the story. Literally in most cases.
There’s a lot of coloured material. At first you wonder whether someone just decided to come out here to dumb rubbish, but you soon realise that it’s the same kind of backing used for the targets you use – the kind that won’t shatter on impact and instead let the shell pass right through.
As you walk, you also start finding bits of electronics – remnants of the little explosives planted to simulate the tank shells no doubt, but you also find stuff that wouldn’t come from those, including an antenna, and what looks suspiciously like part of a rubber track pad, though it’s too damaged to confirm.
You don’t find much more than that, and by the time you reach the last sighting location, it’s also getting very cold, so you quickly make your way back to the relative warmth of the CV and start making your way back to the warehouse.
