“Hehe, thanks Peppa. Any objections?” Pantea asks. There’s a general murmur of no, and so that settles it.
“So, we’ve got a good idea on the plan, some additional help, and even a name for it. Any other moving parts we should worry about?” Maple asks.
“Actually…” you begin, standing back up. “I think it might be best to be part of a ground team, but one with a more direct purpose: a decoy infiltration team.”
“A… decoy infiltration team?” Videl questions.
“Let’s think about it this way: sure Dummy-Gross is likely going to expect one, and with the orbital attack vector we’ll provide that team some cover, but she’s likely going to be focused on one-upping me, too. I’ve kinda pissed her off.”
“Scratch ‘kinda.’ You absolutely have.” Irico states. “That logic tracks, though. Villain types like that often will have a laser focus on those they’ve seen foil their greatest of plans.”
“So what are you proposing with this ‘decoy infiltration team’ then?” Eagalia inquires.
You cross your arms and smirk a bit. “If I’m not part of the main assault, she’ll be looking for me. So, we make it look like we’re taking the stealthy approach, that way she’ll throw any traps and gadgets she can at my team, providing cover for the true infiltration team to go in and get ‘er before she gets away!”
“That’s not a bad plan…” Zubastik remarks.
“Not bad? It’s great! It’s just the thing we need to really pull this off.” mom adds in proudly, your smirk turning to a bashful grin as you rub the back of your neck.
“I think we can work with this. Demiurgos has history with me as well, if I’m not part of any infiltration team, but Peppa has one as a distraction, her attention will be divided.” Eagalia adds in.
“It sounds like this plan has come together quite well.” Rabaht adds. “Any team preferences?”
“I’ll be part of the main infiltration team.” Maple states. “I’ve got some experience with it, and I’ll be able to nab her the quickest.”
“...If you’re planning to do what I think you are, you have my full support.” Rabaht tells her in an almost amused tone, and mom just kinda chuckles at that.
“Count on me to be on that team, then.” Nalitaty chimes in. “I’ve got a good read of the layout already, and I’m among the more swift and agile of our group regardless.”
“I’ll be part of that as well, for similar reasons.” Irico adds.
Eagalia nods. “Good. We shouldn’t add more to that main infiltration team, then. Don’t need to add any more moving parts to it.”
