The next trial occurred soon after as several barrels were placed in front of the two competitors. The odd mix of chemicals that easily could have been mistaken as petroleum fueled the air with something robust. None of the Acillians nor their Tech Priest overlords cared much however as they might have even consumed something like this on occasion. It was different though, a master crafted beverage from one of the blessed minds of the Emperor’s sons was within those containers.
“Next we shall drink! The first to stop shall have the loss, the other gains a victory.” He howled like a freshly awakened beast.
With those words two space wolves stood next to the pair, but before the wolves could give them drinks both had moved themselves over to start consuming from the barrels directly.
Such reasoning was obvious to both sides. Leman Russ wanted to beats his brother and not allow his brother to one up him in the style of before and the other would not allow his brother to defeat him in such a simple matter.
The Russ held his drink on two strong hands while the Machine held his with machine and mechanical limb. The smell of alcohol quickly started to be shared between the two as such an odd way of drinking erupted between them.
The rate of their drink did not degrade with one another. Where one finished his drink the other had done the same. When one started to lift the next barrel the other had quickly began to nurse it to his mouth. Neither allowed their drink to hit the floor as they did not want either side a moment’s complaint on how much drink was lost in this duel.
However it became evident which one was suffering the most as the sounds of Mechanical Error began to come through the room. Such error was only compounded by the realization that the flesh was having an even worse time.
There for a moment, the crowd noticed something running behind the eyes of the Machine Saint. His mind running algorythims against the brew that seemed to defy both man and machine.
>TalOS cannot win the fist fight, power through!
>Stop here and claim the loss. There might still be a chance here soon.
