Murdock describes four basic spells he can teach you, starting with 'Lunarskin' - a power that lets you create a magical barrier around you or somebody else. It absorbs all incoming damage until it breaks apart or runs out of steam.
The second spell is 'Healing Palms'. As the name suggests, it allows you to restore lost blood and close wounds before your very eyes by laying your hands on yourself or another wounded, living creature.
The next power Murdock talks about is the 'Fists of Justice', called that way because it works by focusing Anu's energy in your hands, allowing you to punch much harder than normal…
Finally, there is the 'Telekinesis' spell, which lets you grab and push objects with your mind. This one seems pretty interesting, though the drawback is that it’s limited by how strong you are. In other words, you won’t be able to lift stuff like trees and boulders… yet.
After listing all four spells, the priest asks which one you want to learn, so you ponder for a while before making a decision. Telekinesis could be really fun and also convenient for certain situations, but Lunarskin can save your life in case someone attacks you by surprise. Then again, calling forth your Fists of Justice to punch a demon's head off clean would be none more than satisfying…
All those powers have their uses, but Datz and you are in need of healing right now, and the only spell that lets you do something about it is Healing Palms. Without a doubt, it's the first one you should be learning. The rest can come later. Once you tell Murdock that you are interested in this power, he agrees to teach you, but not before issuing you a warning: the session will be suspended if he sees no considerable progress in two hours. You understand his terms and agree to them - if magic takes you way too long to get a handle of, you'll have to find other means of becoming powerful fast.
However, something tells you that this training will lend great results. Maybe it’s overconfidence, maybe not, but you feel absolutely capable of becoming a spellcaster like Natasha. There’s only one way to find out… it’s time to TRAIN!
