>>5448793"If she's so strong and magical, why can't she just use that orb of hers to kill the Sea God?" Magnifico asks with his blissful ignorance.
"While powerful her magical source is finite, and she has been wounded from protecting me from stronger foes back in Albion, causing the orb to crack. Were she to ever use that pearl while being the only thing keeping her alive, it could result in..."
You stop yourself, theorizing on the possibilities. Really, what could happen if she used the orb in such fashion? She has told you that your current body holds a mere fraction of your true magical prowess, but since the crack in the orb has shown to affect you directly, both of you could easily be killed should that delicate object be ill-used.
You feel an empty pressure to do something, but what exactly? Should you wake her up? Attempt to contact her through magic? Go inside the Sea God and look for her yourself? Kill the island-destroying monster for her to be safe? It's something that will require a lot more than on the spot thinking, especially when a lot of it will depend on how much lenience the townsfolk are willing to give you.
For the first time, you feel like you are invading a truly peaceful place, and should the conflict be initiated and result in the death of others - Especially Sivir's - You will not be able to deflect the blame to anyone other than yourself for disturbing their peace.

Not too far from the group, a blue haired girl was fishing with a harpoon and a net on each of her hands, jumping from rock to rock as her bare feet followed the dark spots underwater, wearing only a camisole that let her freely move as she wished, her long, flowy curly hair was obscuring her view as she could barely see between the strands of her hair.
"Brrr! Didn't think fishing would be so hard without Auntie Sivir giving me a hint!"
Taking notice of the weird flowers growing, the oblivious girl recognized the smell of another halfling, though erroneously mistook their specie as a sign of common ancestry.
"That guy over there... he has the same smell as mine... The Sea God has been awfully active these past few days... Could it be, that him, the merrows, and Auntie Sivir...?"
A bass jumped behind Isma as she managed to catch the fish mid-air with her harpoon.
"I've found my Big Bro!" She happily skipped and hopped back to her hut, preparing a homemade meal for her "brother".
Were anyone to question the hybrid girl on how she came to that conclusion, she would not be able to explain her reasoning.
Truly, Isma was not the brightest star in the sky. Perhaps her thoughts came from a mere wish to find something she had in common with a kind stranger.
