>>5969415The hut is very minimalist. There's not much furniture around, just a desk, some drawers, a bookshelf with a ton of books on it, and a bed. You open a few of the drawers. Some of them contain writing materials: paper, pens, ink, and the like, while others are empty, cleared out. There is a fine layer of dust on everything as well. It must have been some time since anybody lived here. Scanning the bookshelf more thoroughly, you stumble across a note. It reads:
"Dear Marty,
Hope you're doing well, old friend. I've sent this short letter to inform you that all is well back at home. I know that you...
...Anyway, here's mother's amulet. She always wanted you to inherit it after she was gone.
Love,
..."
Everything except the start and end of the message is smudged and unreadable. However, with this, it's highly probable that this hut belongs (belonged?) to Marty. Speaking of which, where is he?
Outside, the sky takes on a mild orange hue. Dusk is arriving. You ponder what you should do next.
>Take the amulet along with you. From the looks of it, it doesn't seem like he's coming back here. You can pass it to him, along with the note, if you find him. He can't be that far from here, right?>You're not sure if you can even find this Marty guy. Maybe it's best to leave it here. He might return someday.Another thing, the book.
>Leave it in the hut.>Take it with you.
