The Omnissiah raised himself above all those that were present. In doing so he was now witness to all the carnage and wrath that the Daemons of Chaos were bringing about against their front lines. A devastating wave of death and vengeance that would damning to the Imperium if they were allowed to get through.
Quickly the Omnissiah took count of those that were present here. A thousand Custodians with their golden armor were holding the front lines with three hundred of the TalOS’s children among them. There were two hundred automatas that were poised to fight the good fight. Finally among their number were a series of Tech Priests that lied in support of their cause.
It would be he, the Omnissiah, who would guide them. They were all likely heart sunken as he was no Emperor. Thus he needed to speak. For he was the Omnissiah it was with ease that his voice was carried through the air with perfect pitch. It would be so clean that to each and every one of these Crusaders the words the Omnissiah was speaking to them.
“Crusaders,” The Omnissiah started off as he flew over their heads for inspection, “The Emperor has left us to seal the gates behind us. To halt the expansion of the wound that Magnus the Red had foolishly placed into the Webway so that it would not consume Terra. To do this the Emperor will have us all sealed within the Webway so that if we fail the Project will still not expunge these foul contents.”
The premise was delivered handily. Everyone knew why they were here.
“As my blessing to each of you this shall be the eternal war. A war against the foul pathogens as they attempt to go right for the beating heart of Humanity!” The Omnissiah made clear as he pointed away, “Know that you will not go unsung. Through my Authority I shall make it known what you do here. The Imperium will not be allowed to forget what service you bring to it!”
He could taste it, the Omnissiah could taste the hope that was flowing in the air. Where once was a stale sense of duty now he could feel the hope and honor among them. These men were all being rewarded with what was a never ending obituary. Not even the Primarchs could claim such an honor, for while they were given remembrancers such a fact would surely expire.
To this the Omnissiah guaranteed sanctity.
