All of these factors really made you concerned about her and her well-being, and instead of standing idly by, you decided it was time to help someone who always had your back! You’re no ungrateful bastard!
“Dream hill? Is that someone’s ability? I heard it before, but I didn’t quite understand.” Kata needs more of an explanation. A lot of what you said needs one in truth…
You briefly explained a little bit of everything without delving into too many details. Xavi and Naiad’s power, the Bubble adventure, Mr. Won-Jae’s coma dimension, and Esperanza’s tournament. That should be enough to understand the entire context of what you said! You, of course, mentioned more details about Kata’s redder orange star, and how improper it felt to witness what you did since you didn’t know her much at all.
“I’m sorry…” You apologize for peeping into her true feelings.
“Hehehe, It’s all fine and dandy, Johnny. I’d feel quite vulnerable if things weren’t adding up.” Kata is relieved as she stares at the ground. “But they are… and I’m quite touched, really.”
“Why?” You’re very confused by her reaction. You expected her to be upset, or at least surprised!
“That’s why you weren’t surprised or disappointed when you learned the truth from the little boy; you already knew what kind of individual I might be. How despicable I am. And despite all my shortcomings, you put your neck on the line for me.” Kata ups her gaze. “I always thought I’d be able to withstand the moment you get sick of me without any issues, but I’m not so sure now...”
“I don’t have any reason to.” You point out. “What did Galactic say? I’ll stand by your side no matter what.”
