I think we can make good use of the mountains here. If we keep at least one of our sides to the mountains at all times, it both makes it very difficult to flank us and also limits their direction of attack if they wish to not charge directly into the mountain, depending on how steep it is.
As for a location for a decisive engagement, I think around C and B would work well. Urban and forested areas should make it difficult to fight and maneuver effectively with cavalry. Or perhaps we could put our backs to one of the mountainsides, like around those concave gaps in the mountains to the west-southwest (pic related).
