Feral, yes, yet not wild. They fled to the north, growing more vast to survive the cold, yet the bond remained. A most ancient one. The earliest one, so say the elders. Eagerly, or at least with plenty of scraps, the beasts were burdened with the tents, the prey, all that which the brave hunters collected. And... they seemed satisfied. A bond restored.

Were they more feral? Or did they retain more of their nature? Regardless, they did not carry well. They craved to run, be free... To HUNT. And who amongst the Gladebound was to refuse such a calling? Such a bond to the most primal need. To survive. To earn their keep? Chase. Persue. Track down all that which hid. The Beasts of the North had adapted in the absence of easy feed. And yet, even in the face of such skills, mere scraps were satisfactory enough to pursue any beast. Perhaps the scratches and pats did their part, much the same, bonds, even deteriorated as they were, remained strong amongst the oldest of allies.
