Snooping around the Psyops Bunker, I decided to see if there were any complaints among the personnel here for the time being whilst the AGLA situation was ongoing and being monitored. I received salutes and acknowledgements from various people in the bunker as I strut about. They threw me quick words of address such as 'Lady Goddess', or 'Executive ma'am'.
[MAJORDOMO] "Feels kind of weird being a person of power now, don't it?"
'Undoubtedly. Though I know it is merely formality. I don't see myself as in control of these people. They get to work of their own volition and theirs alone. That's freedom. Not the depraved sort that the Dark One would teach, but freedom to think, rather than collapse into beastly instinct. The mind is a special instrument, and it is because these mortals have one they can do more than follow instincts.'
[MAJORDOMO] "Well said, but I'm hungry."
'You lack a stomach or the capacity to consume food.'
[MAJORDOMO] "I do, but you don't, and when you feel hungry, I do."
Admittedly, I have not and do not eat much. Being a god does not make it a requirement, we eat only for pleasure of it alone. And right now, my stomach was growling a bit.
I decided to indulge Majordomo and headed to the second level's cafeteria in order to see what was actually on the menu. I did not decide such things, Hale did. He was fine with it, as he himself saw such things as below my notice on his own. But when I did enter the scene, I saw my first complaint, or issue among the personnel currently recruited. I saw two employees of the Intelligence and R&D departments arguing and decided to investigate.
'Gentlemen. What appears to be the issue?'
[EMPLOYEE 1] "Oh thank the psychic goddess, the psychic goddess is here. We seem to be befuddled over a lack of variety in the menus."
[EMPLOYEE 2] "But in reality, I'm simply trying to explain to my coworker here why that isn't such an issue. There's a whole city above ground full of eateries and restaurants ready to take orders and deliver and I just don't see how a limited menu is an issue given all that."
[EMPLOYEE 1] "I'll tell you why. We live here now, vast majority of us. This workplace is also our home, we have quarters, and if the cafeteria area is big enough to be a bistro on its own, might as well expand the choices on those big signs to put use to all these extra seating space. The cocktail lounge and bar doesn't lack for variety of all those nasty yellow waters and liquors and spirits and alcohol, so is it really such a big deal if I think we could double this cafeteria as a steak restaurant or a deli too? Hell, have a sloppy joe night or taco tuesday."
'Ah... I see. I admit, I do not know how big our menu really is myself...'
[EMPLOYEE 1] "It's right up there."
