The greatest irony of the Blackstone Fortress was how easily it would glide through the immaterium. From what TalOS understood the Fortress was essentially blind thanks to accidently blotting out the Astronomicon with its own presence; it quickly made up for that by causing the warp to settle wherever it dared to travel.
It did not matter if there was a ‘reef’ or ‘torrent’ that would have set so many other vessels off course the Blackstone Fortress easily buffered all of them. One could easily say that it was an island of reason in the sea of Madness that made up the warp. Thus the Blackstone Fortress was able to navigate through the realm of chaos with ease.
With accuracy that would have set many naval captains to shame they arrived. While the time estimated was slower than standard ships, the Fortress itself was almost exactly on point for when it was supposed to arrive.
And upon his arrival TalOS looked out into the system.
Scans quickly told him of the numerous Orkoid ships that were hanging out above the planet, each dumping loads of Orks upon the place in a vain attempt to crack the fortress that was built just to keep them out. There must have been several hundred asteroids and jerry-rigged space stations from the past of man.
It sickened him.
+Sanctus Dominus TalOS.+ A communication on a Vox Frequency came to him from the large Battleship known as the Canticle of Clouds, +We are in position just as you desired. Sectors of our fleet are already reporting disruption among the Orks in the system and several of their systems failing.+
+Understood, Dominus Pterraxii. Everything is as it should be.+ TalOS announced with a firm approval within his voice.
+I thank you for such approval, Sanctus Dominus.+ The Magos of Columnus announced as he cut their private connection.
With a single thought TalOS opened a vox communication throughout the entire fleet with a grin upon his person, +Priests of the Mechanicum, I thank you all for performing adamantly for the war as you have. Now we strike back, to close the trap that was laid out! Charge forth and begin the slaughter!+
