AGE 757, CRIMSON DEMON VILLAGE
“The festivities are still in full swing, you should go on and enjoy the party.” Whis, Beerus' attendant angel says to Karn as you watch on from the shadows. Then, as Karn walks away, Whis turns around and stares directly at you. His gaze is unsettling then, before you can really react he's simply gone.
“You're not supposed to be here.” Whis says, his voice coming from BEHIND you. It makes you a bit nervous, but you don't react, turning to face him.
“I am the Supreme Kai of Time Chronoa's apprentice, here on official Time Patrol business.” you reply to the angel, not backing down. “If the Demon God Mechikabura returns, I'm here to stop him.”
“Mechikabura.... Now that's a name I've not heard in quite some time.” Whis says, hand to his chin as he ponders something a moment. “Ah, now I see. I understand. Carry on, apprentice Kai.”
“Hold on, understand what?” you ask, but he simply smirks, not answering. You are Trunks, son of Bulma and Vegeta, Super Saiyan, Apprentice Supreme Kai of Time, and a survivor of Dumplin's...unique training course. Currently you're posted in your mortal enemy Karn's timeline, at the Crimson Demon Village where his grandson's first birthday is happening. You'd arrived as Towa and Karn's bastard half-demon kids did, under orders to not start a fight with them.
“Remember, you're not here to fight.” Chronoa had told you as you'd arrived a short distance from the celebration, immediately dropping your powerlevel and making your way over. “Stick to the shadows and stay at the outskirts, no need to get involved unless Mechikabura makes a move.”
But now as you stand here, turning from the infuriatingly vague angel and watching your enemy enjoying his happy little celebration, you can't help but start getting pissed off. How dare your enemy, the man whose killed you over and over have such a happy time while your own reality was nothing but suffering. All your life you lived under the rule of the tyrannical androids, watching helplessly as they destroyed lives, even that of your master, Gohan. And after going to the past, learning from your father and gaining the strength you needed, you'd returned home to defeat the Androids, only for the most terrifying one yet, Cell, to have snuck up and killed you while you were distracted. Only to be revived by the Supreme Kai of Time to work for her, to undo your 'sin' of time travel. You'd never had anything like this in your life, and watching Karn and his family enjoy their little celebration does nothing but piss you off.
