The Omnissiah, being both the Worshiper and the Will, thought to themselves for a moment. It was obvious that the Emperor had a thought on what his declaration shall be but today was not the day he would declare it. In the near future he shall have nothing but his thoughts to be accompanied with, thus he will need to fully realize what it is his decleration shall be.
What he was doing here was not simply putting the weight of his thoughts upon the Omnissiah. The Emperor, just as TalOS has done so many times before, was simply seeking input to his decision. If the Emperor would commit it to fact was his decision, he simply wished to have a suggestion.
The Will made its will known in that moment. It knew that this was not its place to give such an answer. For while they have long been allies the Emperor was not seeking the Machine God’s response. As he said, he was reaching out to the Worshiper. He was reaching out to TalOS.
Thus TalOS answered, “Father, you must make it known that you love humanity above everything else. And through that love for humanity, a love that you have fostered over thousands of years, that you shall become its God.”
Such words easily caused anger to flare behind the eyes of the Emperor as he heard that. For not only decades, but centuries and millennia he has been dealing with people calling him a god. To encourage it would go against what he has been about for his entire existence.
However the Emperor did not strike nor claim that TalOS was out of line. The man he was, the Emperor understood the sheer weight of the words spoken and what it meant for the worshiper of another god to request another to take such a mantle.
“If I do so, then humanity will commit themselves to actions in my name.” The Emperor said as he pointed to TalOS, “You have and know of the terror that were inflicted upon the Body of Mankind for Unification, TalOS, but the terrors that occur today will be pale comparisons to what man will do when they get the God they have always wanted.”
“Such terrors are expected.” TalOS admitted to his Father, “For instance the Cult Mechanicus turns men into servitors. Through the eyes of the Machine God I have seen eras where such Slavery was not allowed, how glorious that was in the Dark Age of Technology. At the same time it was the Mechanicum who not only saved so much of that glorious technology but gave you the Imperium with it.”
