The Imperial Fist gave a certain nod to those words, “Their technological levels are derived directly from those factors. We have also noticed that there is a strong correlation between the strength of its Warboss and the Horde.”
The clicking of vox caster from Eretis sounded, “As it is correlation, is it possible to assume that the Orks are a direct inflection of their leader?”
“I cannot confirm that High Dominus, these are my observations from the battlefield. I have only faced one Warboss in combat so I do not have intimate knowledge to create rockcrete comparisons.”
“That is understandable.” Declared the necrotic Tech Priest as he gave something close to a cough, “I simply wanted to compare these Xenos to those we of Xana have on record.”
TalOS found those words interesting but knew now was not the time to bring up Xana’s past, “Then the elimination of the Orks inhabiting the Grail system shall be given prime priority. Legion Master Matthias, what is standard Imperial Doctrine when facing these Xenos”
“To kill the Warboss and as many other of its fellow High Commanders.” The Fist proclaimed as a tried and true method, “How this has been achieved differs from Legion to Legion. The First Legion employed a steady battle towards the center that led to the Warboss appearing upon the battlefield where he would be exterminated. Horus Lupercal leaves his supply lines behind to make an incision strike at the base world.”
“As for my Legion we take a position and have the orks come towards us. When the opportunity presents itself we will cut off the initial assault from the rest of its forces and crush them in a counter siege.” For the first time in the meeting the Imperial Fist expressed an emotion other than stoicism, “We have found that the Orks suffer heavily from siege warfare as they run out of materials faster than any other Xenos Race.”
“Records show that Orks are incredibly wasteful which in turn fuels their need for expansion.” TalOS pointed out with a phantom smile upon his cold steel face, “We could use that against them.”
