In these circumstances, I judge it better for J2 and R1 to prepare fallback positions for the rest of us (recall that reusing fortifications takes one turn instead of two), then take up positions we've bought them time to prepare.>Dig in J5, add tank traps, position Recons and Dragoons first for the fight, then for the retreating line. If we're outmatched, J5 is first to leave, taking one of the dugouts if feasible, breaking LoS otherwise. If retreat takes us to the final line on the map, lay smoke and turn around, ready to to make a break for the dugouts and lure the enemy expose themselves to our repositioned Jaeger. This turn may be accomplished sooner and out of sight if the tank traps are effective.>This plan may be interrupted at any time should the enemy decide that they've pushed us hard enough and turn for the village.
