"Not as great as I'd hoped for, but not as bad as I was expecting. If I concentrate really hard for a full minute, I can light a candle now!" He says, earning a disappointed shake of the head from Baba apparently. "About the same rate as for my progress with the ship we found. And yes, it is in fact a ship! A spaceship, to be exact, clearly signs that alien life has visited our planet in the past. A lot of the controls are verbal, I've found, and require you to speak in whatever language they have...though I haven't really been able to work out more than two commands with it, since I don't have much to base it on. I figured out how to get the ship to open itself up, by saying 'Piccolo', and how to get what I think is a toilet to operate, by saying "Seata Belta". I don't know the commands for it, but this thing can fly without chemical propellants through a special mechanism, and I'm pretty sure it could punch a hole straight through a mountain with the weapons it has equipped on it. I might try my hand at reverse engineering those once I get a proper workshop going someday." He continues, clearly enthusiastic about what he learned.
"Man, aliens! Who would have thought. We'll definitely have to get you a workshop going then! Anyways, you're gonna challenge Baba's fighters with us?" You ask, getting a nod from Harum.
"Of course. I'll let you two go first, as I'm not the keenest on fighting, but I'll swap in if need be just so we don't completely lose. Now, normally I'd ask you to fill me in on what you guys did since we last met, but Baba is looking a little annoyed at how long we're taking, so let's save that for later." He says eyeing the irate seeming witch cautiously.
"Hmph. It's about time! Let's get this show on the road." She nags, floating out to lead you all to the first arena - the circular one. She snaps her fingers to call for the first opponent, and you sense movement from the watery moat around the palace. A strange, green-skinned woman with a snake's body in place of her legs shoots out of the water and slides up onto the stone arena, wearing a paper bag on her head with a single eyehole cut out of it. The choice of headwear strikes you as extremely odd, but you elect not to comment on it.
Instead, you turn to Barbar and both nod at each other, clenching your fists. You both wanted to be the first one to fight, so there was only one way to settle it. You throw your fists out at each other, but stop just out of range of hitting each other. Your hand is outstretched into an open palm, while his is a closed fist. You place your palm over his fist, and pump your other fist in the air. "Paper covers rock! You're a thousand years too young to beat me at this game, Barbar." You gloat, getting a chuckle from the older man.
