The roar of engines and screech of wheels soon follow as you both speed through the area, forgoing any subtlety. You briefly check or ignore the few posted lights and signs, and turn on the radio for the occasion.

<span class="mu-s">“GO RIGHT! GO RIGHT!”</span> He yells.
Ahead of you is a car parked on the side of the road nothing obviously visible. But as you turn hugging the right side of the road barely noticeable are a set of white spike strips. Place on middle of the stop line for the traffic light. As you round the spikes the car’s light turn on and begin speeding after you.
The chase begins in earnest as you weave through the streets, staying on course as much as possible with one person on you. As you drive eyes darting and knuckles white in concentration gunfire is soon heard as the car comes closer to you. Looking at your rear-view mirror you see a man hanging out of the side of the vehicle taking potshots behind you.
“Adam! Shit’s going south quick.”
“I know I see it, I’m gonna make a tight turn, hang on.”
Soon enough a left or straight sign zooms past you peripherals as well as the posted speed limit for the turn. The slight anxiety of being twenty over of the limit is overshadowed by the sharp clink of metal on metal, a few of the gunshots finding purchase on the crates.
As the turn comes you mimic Adam’s pivot onto the oncoming lane and pray. Going as sharp as you possibly can you get some respite from the gunfire.
“You okay Kelly?” Adam asks.
“Still alive.” You reply.
“We are almost there, just keep your head low.”
As if on cue, the two other cars emerge as you return to the main road, riding your tail. Driving to your left side one of the cars attempts a pit maneuver and you struggle to keep control.
It probably won’t end well if you don’t do something quick.
