At first, Demharugh did not know where to go. I could not, logically, provide her with an apt answer if she was to pursue this task on her own. I just told her to go anywhere... from here. Anywhere her minds takes her, whilst pursuing her task.
[DEMHARUGH] "Ohh..."
She murmured a bit, raising her hand to her mouth. She asked me if I was going to take good care of her strawberries for Lady Eikn. I assured her I would and that it was no longer a concern for her. She needed to save her strength for focusing on this task. She is a goddess, there is nothing out there for her to be afraid of.
She got an idea then, to start first by asking any other Fairies she knew under her purview. I told her it was a good idea, and then she got excited. Almost like a child. She told me she was off then, and decided to go, bidding me and Eskart farewell as she waved and fluttered off.
[ESKART] "I hope this will work. In any case, as she is a magical creature, I will be looking out for her, that nothing goes awry from the background."
'By setting her up on this journey, Eskart, I'm setting her up to be able to learn how to make choices for herself. How to think for herself. Who knows where her venture will take her. I don't even know if she truly can discover where the Fae came from. It will be a fantastical journey for her. I've made it so that she doesn't forget this task.'
[ESKART] "Indeed. Wherever she goes, whatever she chooses to do along the way... it will teach her more about making her own choices. She will have to, if she is to pursue the goal. And then? Eventually she may be able to choose for herself to come back to you, and tell you she will no longer do it, this task you've given. Then, she will be free. I see... Yes, because she is the Faekin Goddess, she represents them. Their fundamental. If she changes, all other Fae will change too. Such is the way of this world where humans and gods change one another."
With this, I think Demharugh will redeem her own flaws, without my help.
We returned to Eikn, and she was happy to hear the news. She too swore to watch over Demharugh and keep her safe out there. For one, she agreed with my motive. Keeping the divine mind touched by gods the less, the better. Eikn did believe that we would not make a substantial gain. That Demharugh would flee from us or get scared. She's glad we took the less extreme route here.
And Majordomo was smug about it too, for it was his plan.
But one thing... Eikn told us that since Demharugh wasn't there to bake a strawberry cake for her now, we would have to fill in.
[ESKART] "...It is fine. I am a good baker."
'You?'
[ESKART] "Baking and alchemy have plenty in common."
