Before Wilhelm could question her, the Lady Louve continued. "My brother Egan is just a man who sits up on a throne. A man who once had a wife and daughter. It is his second wife, the witch-queen Hendrika, whom you should fear."
Wilhelm was puzzled. "Queen Hendrika?"
"It is Hendrika who controls the dragon," said the Lady Louve. "Hendrika is the one who provoked him to make war against Lion and Falcon. She is the one who set his army against us. Had it not been for her dragon, Egan would not have been so bold."
Wilhelm looked at Mirabel and saw she had grown pale. "Are you alright?" he asked with concern.
The maiden looked from Wilhelm to the Lady Louve. "Until now, I had only heard of the dragon in rumors. To hear the Lady Louve speak of it so plainly..."
Wilhelm followed her gaze and asked, "How does Queen Hendrika control the dragon?"
