>>5328245>>5328345"You could say I've changed a bit, I'd say magic is a godsend, but I don't like using that word..." You respond to her back-handed compliment with genuine appreciation. "I never asked you what you thought of me back then, doesn't look like you have a high opinion, does it?"
"Can't say I do. Life was looking bright to all the Falcons until The King became paranoid from Gallahad's findings. Griffith wasn't the only one persecuted by that unfair trial. And even if he was, what were you thinking, to meddle in our business when you were only an honorary member? That blood is in your hands, Santana!"
"I merely reported on it, Casca. I don't condone any of our deceased majesty's actions." You start defending yourself, but Casca's forgetfulness starts to show as she starts to scratch her arm.
"Deceased? The king is dead?"
"Ehm, yes. Didn't Farnese tell you anything about it?"
"No... she just finished telling me about Ilos and what you've done together in Albion." While Casca explains, Farnese gestured frantically by swiping her hands around her neck, trying to inform you for good reason not to mention Griffith by name.
Farnese and Casca are strangers to each other, after all, it's a bit silly to imagine her explaining what happened in Albion in great details when she was also unconscious halfway through it. Most likely, she just explained how much you kicked ass in the ring, how you got your money back, and how she toyed around with a candlestick. Does Casca even know who you're fighting against?
Well, given how Cindy first reacted when you went straight for the focal point, it's best not to repeat the same mistake a second time, no Griffiths allowed.
"You do remember Guts, right? You did stay with him for over a year when it all happened, so I figure you're eager to see him."
The resentment Casca feels for you in her wrongful memories of the past seemingly goes away, as tears of joy form at the mere mention of the branded swordsman. All the wonderful times they've spent with in the past flash by you, her Od becomes stronger than ever. She remembers, those memories are the reason she's here today. Even if subconsciously, in that infantile mental state, she missed him.
"I can't wrap my head around you would bring me back... But the possibility of seeing him again... I'm finding it difficult not to show you, my immense gratitude for it." Casca speaks in a forgiving tone, while Cindy whispers to Hyde:
"You think this will finally make him start acting like a human being?"
"Dunno, Dun'care. Faster she leaves, faster Guts gets outta my sight."
