You walked over to the sad, pitiful man and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. <span class="mu-r">“Don’t worry. I’ll take care of her. She’s my friend too.”</span>
Warren gave you a grateful smile, but it was still tinged with grief and guilt. It wasn’t a perfect solution by any means, but it was the best that any of you could do.

2 hours later, Gwen and W returned from their little chat, with Letty trialing close behind. Gwen looked like she had more to say, but from one look at W, you could tell that whole ordeal was absolutely exhausting for an emotionally stunted introvert such as her.
The two women had so much to catch up on, but it would have to be served up into little bite-sized chunks. Until W could tolerate interacting with another human for an extended period of time, their next sharing session would have to wait.
When Gwen returned, neither she nor Warren said a word to each other. She did, however, permit W to give him one last long hug before she left her creator’s care.
From there, Letty escorted you, Gwen and W back towards the portal where you’d entered from. The big blonde amazon was taciturn in her behavior the entire way back, with only the news of you having a place for W to stay being the one development she was more or less satisfied with.
After a long walk in near total silence, Gwen finally spoke up.
<span class="mu-g">“How long have you known?”</span> she asked. <span class="mu-g">“About W, I mean.”</span>
