"Well," you respond, "I haven't actually seen them, but I have theorized their existence from Mason's disappearance. I believe it's a creature that only ambushes individual prey and can run quietly. It also had to have good eyesight to notice Mason and some type of paralytic or neurotoxin attack to prevent him from making a sound. The reason it didn't attack us was probably the fact that no one before had ever reached deep into the school for a while. I also had a dream of being chased by a monstrous spider."
Jaq scoffs, "That's only fantastical thinking, not rational."
You say, "that might be, but from exploring, I've seen a small alien creatures inside a pod in a science lab of the underground bunker."
Jaq asks, "hold on... What underground bunker are you talking about?"
You say, "It's a long story. But I've really seen an abnormal creature."
Jaq looks thoughtful. "And you're sure you're not just imagining things?"
You shake your head and say, "I'm positive. That's why I want you to come with me, so you can see the creature with your own eyes."
Jaq seems hesitant but eventually agrees, "Okay, I'll come with you."
The afternoon goes by in a blur, with one boring class after another. Finally, the bell rings, signaling the end of the day. You meet up with Jaq, Alex, and Angelina for the cleaning club. As usual, Jaq doesn't do much, leaving all the hard work to the rest of the group.
Alex and Angelina work tirelessly, scrubbing desks, sweeping floors, and organizing supplies. You join in, trying to make the most of the time and get as much done as possible. After an hour of cleaning, you and the others finally finish up.
Before bringing back the keys to Ms. Brüngger, you stealthily enter the science room. The room is a bit like a lab, with long benches lining the walls and sinks every few feet. There are microscopes and beakers and test tubes scattered around the room. However, it's also a classroom, with a large blackboard at the front of the room and desks arranged in rows facing it.
As you look around the room, you notice that there are a few cabinets and drawers that are locked. You wonder what they might contain and if there's anything interesting inside. However, they are locked and you don't have the proper key to open, so you grab bottles of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid and the lab coat that had caught your eyes. As you grab it, you wonder which one of you would look better and more feminine wearing it -- you or Jaq.
As you make your way out of the classroom with the stolen items, you begin to worry about whether the teachers will notice that things have been missing. You wonder if they will find out that you took the lab coat and chemicals, and what the consequences will be if they do. Will you get in trouble? Will you be punished? The uncertainty weighs heavy on your mind.
