Astamon will definitely end up taking some damage and expending energy if he's not fighting full-force to eliminate them. You trust that they won't pursue you too far in, and that they'll be talked down eventually.
>Don't bother staying your hand. These Digimon are from a different squad, clearly, and you have no connection to them. Let Astamon deal with them using all his might. If they flee, you'll let them live, but you just need them off your ass right now. Your partner will use up more energy than fleeing, but he'll likely not be hurt as bad if he can respond to their attacks without restraint.
